Major media partnership announced for 2024
Gold Coast Rainbow Communities and the Star Observer are excited to announce a major media partnership. The 12-month partnership will see print and online articles, newsletter features, advertising and What's On listings across Star Observer's QLD, NSW and VIC publications as well as amplification via social media.
Star Observer branding and publications will be highly visible across the 2024 Gold Coast Pride Festival and throughout Gold Coast Rainbow Communities communication channels.
We are thankful for this partnership and for Star Observer's commitment to growing and nurturing community through education and national awareness. This is the kind of boost that we have dreamed of for the festival bringing it to the attention of LGBTIQA+ people nationally and internationally.

Star Observer has been dedicated to sharing the stories of the Australian LGBTQIA+ community for 45 years, and we are incredibly proud to support and raise awareness for our wonderful community's events all across Australia. By spreading the word through our channels, we will be able to encourage local, national and international attendees to join in the fun. Our coverage will also increase visibility and encourage investment, so queer events like Gold Coast Pride can continue to grow and evolve, and be around for many future LGBTQIA+ generations to come.

What This Means for Gold Coast Pride
The partnership with Star Observer brings Gold Coast Pride to a national and international audience. With coverage across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, the festival will reach thousands of readers who may not have otherwise known about the Gold Coast's vibrant LGBTIQA+ community.
The Star Observer's roving photographer will be at Gold Coast Pride Fair Day on 1 June 2024 capturing the people, entertainment, sights and sounds of our wonderful beach parade and community event. Colourful rainbow costumes and styling are sure to catch the photographer's eye, so we encourage everyone to make a splash to have your photo snapped.
This partnership marks a new chapter for Gold Coast Rainbow Communities. It is an opportunity to showcase everything this community has to offer and to invite the world to celebrate with us.
