HOTA | Queer-friendly readings for ages 0-8
Imaginative and immersive fun for little readers. Little ones are invited to settle back and listen to a story read by a member of our LGBTQIA+ community. HOTA's Rainbow Story Hour program champions body positivity and role models in all different shapes, sizes, diversities, and encourages the imagination and play of childhood.
Featuring artists, singers, and creatives of all genres, Rainbow Story Hour is a fun way for kids to connect with their imagination, meet friends and explore vivid realms.

Featuring Danni Zuvela
Danni Zuvela is a Gold Coast-based artist, curator and writer exploring non-human subjectivity with a particular ear for sound and listening. Her work often explores questions of non-human subjectivity, and relationships between the senses and society.
Through research, critical writing, residencies, exhibitions, discursive public programs and publications, Danni engages with artists and non-artists in the production of relationships and the exchange of knowledge. With a background in experimental music and performance, her practice uses research and ideas to fuel experiences and encounters where the natural world is often a protagonist.
In 2020, together with Vince Siciliani, Danni co-founded Gold Coast Pride.
About Rainbow Story Hour
Rainbow Story Hour is a program designed to create a safe and inclusive space for children to explore stories and imagination. By featuring readers from the LGBTQIA+ community, children are exposed to diverse role models and perspectives from an early age.
The program champions body positivity and celebrates diversity in all its forms. It encourages children to embrace their imagination and connect with others through the magic of storytelling.
